Rifle Match
Parris Island's Small Bore team will meet the 3649th Ordnance Company, National Guard from Columbia, S.C., in a "shoulder to shoulder" match at the Small Bore Range today at 8 p.m.
Officer in charge of the Marine shooters will be Lt. W. W. McMillan. Coach is MSgt. J. A. Fowler. Shooting on the team will be Sgt. A. W. Hauser, Cpl. H. R. Matthews and Cpl. R. L. Shaffer.

Small Bore Team Wins
Parris Island's Small Bore rifle team defeated the 3649th Ordnance Company, National Guard, Columbia, S.C., 1,373 to 1,309 last Friday night at the Small Bore range here.
TSgt. Jesse A. Davenport fired the Marines' high score in leading them to victory over the 1952 South Carolina National Guard champions. Davenport racked up a spectacular 282x300 to lead his nearest competitor by four points.
