Capt. William W. McMillan, a gold medal winner for the United States in the Olympics, checks his pistol score with Miss Betty Alley, secretary of the Interior Department Rifle and Pistol Club. Capt. McMillan, a member of the Quantico Marines pistol team, competed in the tournament yesterday at Gallatin and North Capitol street.

McMillan Leads MCS Shooters To Victory In D. C.
The Marine Corps Schools Pistol Team, led by Olympic Gold Medal winner Capt. William W. McMillan, walked off with the .45 caliber pistol team title at the 15th Annual Park Police Match held in Washington last weekend.
Captain McMillan was the high-shooter of the match, racking up a 2619-2700 score. Close behind was MSgt. Joe Benner, USA, who compiled a score of 2614-2700.
Major J. M. Jagoda, CO, RR Det, Capt. W. K. Hayden, ADB, SDT, and 1stSgt. John A Fowler, ADB, SDT, were members fo the victorious Leatherneck team.
