Pair Qualify For Pistol Try
QUANTICO, Va. - Capt. William W. McMillan and SSgt. Edmond Sarver of Ordnance School both earned an invitation to the final 1960 Rifle and Pistol Olympic Trials as they qualified in the preliminary marksmanship tryouts at the Rifle Range here.
McMillan's qualifying score came in the 25-meter rapid fire free pistol division. Sarver was second in the same division.
Both men have now qualified for the trials scheduled to be held at Ft. Benning, Ga., beginning on July 18. A win at Benning will mean a berth on the 1960 U.S. Olympic squad for the Rome Olympics.
